Announced just now at our Program Launch in Alice Springs, we’re excited to release the full lineup of events that will be taking place at the 2026 Red Dirt Poetry Festival, 20-23 August in Mparntwe.
With over 35 sessions, 45 poets, plus musicians, dancers, scientists and arts-industry insiders, and numerous special events spread out across four days, it’ll be a festival to remember.
The program includes a birdwatching walk, long lunch, poetry showcase, experimental performance, sessions for parents, grievers and lovers, poetry that dances with music and nature, poetry under the stars and by the fire.
Events include Oscillations, Haiku Death Match, Eat Read Zine, a heat and final of the Australian Poetry Slam, and of course, panels and workshops.
