Over the course of 6 weeks, local poets Laurie May & Spandu Pillarisetty will guide emerging poets every week through crafted workshops. Covering topics around identity and expression, the power of language and voice in group sessions and work one-on-one with attendees to identify and work towards their individual goals, whether that’s ideas for a zine, getting published and/or performing on stage.
The workshops will take place at Red Kangaroo Bookshop in Mparntwe/Alice Springs and is designed for members of the community who want to write poetry but don’t know where to start to find a supportive group to guide them on their way.
This 6 week course is free for attendees and everyone is welcome, but registration is required.
